Recruitment is over and the excitement of gaining 50+ NEW best friends (aka Sisters) is still on the surface! Now that you’ve officially been assigned a little (or a big), it’s time to show your appreciation and share the love. Let’s be real- being in a sorority is already expensive, so when it comes to buying cute little gifts, you need to create a budget or just shop in Target’s dollar section. Handmade gifts are also an option! Nothing says “I appreciate you” more than showing the person you actually spent time making a gift. Here are some ideas on how to show your little some love and stay under budget:
Target Dollar Section Gift Basket
These cute little baskets are the perfect way to lift someone’s spirit. They’re easy to customize, cost no more than $10 AND you can get it all in one place!
DIY Picture Hanger
Picture Frames are a lot of fun when they can display multiple pictures. Frames like this can be made for $10 or less. Head to the closest thrift store and buy a decent frame. You can paint it whatever color you’d like! Then, with string and hot glue, place the strings where you’d like them on the frame – be sure to glue the strings to the back of the frame. Next, buy some cheap clips or little close pins from a craft store and place them wherever you see fit. Finally, order some cute prints from one of your albums in the Share-Your-Photos App. This is a gift your sorority sistah will keep around forever 🙂
DIY Sharpie Mugs
These cute coffee mugs are easy and CHEAP. Head to the thrift store and purchase 4 unique coffee mugs (or however many you want). Using a sharpie, decorate them with cute sayings and doodles. Then bake them in the oven fat 350° for 30 minutes. These are super easy to make and take very little time to make. PS. DO NOT PUT THEM IN THE DISHWASHER. Your design will be gone forever.
T-shirt Headbands
T-shirt headbands are extremely easy to make and don’t cost a thing! Simply take an old t-shirt and follow this tutorial. With a hot glue gun, anything is possible!
Inspiration Station
It’s the thought that counts and this little act of kindness does exactly that. Show your sister some love and leave encouraging notes on her mirror, windows, coffee pot, door handle and so on that constantly encourages and brings her up.
These 5 little gestures will mean the world to your little and show just how much you care while keeping the cost low. Make sure to download the Share-Your-Photos App so that you can share your pictures with all of your friends and family! Once you’ve uploaded pictures into an album, you can print photo books, stickers, pillows and more. It’s another way to make memories with your little 🙂
